Located in the heart of France's premier shoemaking region, Saint-Macaire-en-Mauges, the brand was founded in 1987. Karston—its original name—offered avant-garde fashion at the time. The brand broke free from conventions and emancipated women.
A specialist in the creation of women's shoes, Karston's success is based on three pillars: its very comfortable fit , its quality leathers and its unique style .

At Emilie Karston, we select our leathers with the greatest care. Leather represents 98% of our raw material for shoes.
Leather remains a preferred choice for its many qualities, such as durability, aesthetics, and comfort. It is a noble, natural material that is extremely resistant to wear and tear.
We evolve our leather selection based on the characteristics and desired stylistic effect of the product. The leathers we choose are mostly cowhide. They have the particularity of being smooth and thick, which ensures the durability and quality of our pieces.
